Baptism, the Eucharist and the Sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the ‘sacraments of Christian initiation’…’by the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptised are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit.’
It is this anointing of the Holy Spirit that is celebrated in the Sacrament.
Preparation for the Sacrament involves a more intimate union with Christ and a deeper familiarity with the grace of the Holy Spirit; actions, gifts and promptings.
A period of Catechesis is required in preparation; further details can be obtained from the Parish Office or please ask any one of the priests.
